Auto Insurance

The state of Michigan requires that you have auto insurance, but you can't just get any amount of coverage. First of all, the state requires you to have no-fault coverage so that injuries and damages can be covered no matter what the circumstance. Beyond that, there are also minimum amounts required for bodily injury insurance and property damage. For the latter, property damage is required in the amount of $10,000 of coverage. For bodily injury or death to an individual, the required coverage is $20,000. And that number is doubled for injuries and deaths per accident in the state of Michigan at $40,000.
