Michigan Organ Donation

One important fact about organ donors in the United States is that one person is known to save about eight people with their decision. Furthermore, this same person – if they decide to become an organ and tissue donor – can better the lives of over 50 others. But there are a few things to keep in mind before you decide whether or not you want to add the "organ donor" designation to your Michigan driver's license. The most important factor in this state is age. You must be at least 18 years old to sign the consent form to become a donor. If you are not old enough, however, you can have a parent or legal guardian sign for you.
